Dear Publisher,

The Western Reps Association Spring trade book fair is taking place in Victoria, BC, from February 13 to 15, 2023 and we are as usual looking for your kind support.

We are happy to accept any amount towards the cost of running the book fair! It helps cover ballroom and equipment rentals, the coffee station, wine and cheese reception and lunches for booksellers.

But if you’re interested in sponsoring a specific event or item, here are the costs as follows:

  • Bookseller Lunches: $2,000 per day (we have two of them and find it invaluable for keeping customers on schedule during a busy fair.)
  • Wine & Cheese reception: $4,000
  • Coffee Station: $300 per day (we have two of them – vital for keeping customers fueled for a full day of buying!)

Don’t mind what you sponsor, but would like to help out? Here are the levels of sponsorship available:

  • Platinum: $2,000 +
  • Gold: $1,000 +
  • Silver: $600 +
  • Bronze: $300 or less

It’s also of course a golden opportunity to generate goodwill for your company among your customers. The usual suspects will be attending: independent bookstores, libraries, Indigo folk, local specialty retailers, and BC wholesalers. This is a working fair, and we generate a lot of our sales at this event – another reason why it would be a viable use of your marketing dollars.

What does this donation get you apart from our gratitude? You will be listed on all literature pertaining to the book fair, on the WBRA website, and thanked at any public announcements made at the fair. Your name would also be on the Sponsors’ List in a poster at the door to the Book Fair. This is your chance to be a great corporate citizen, and get your name in front of your key customers!

Sponsorship Deadline: Ideally, please let us know by November 15, so your name can be included in all the book fair

mailings we’ll be sending out. But we can accept (and update our web presence) sponsorship at any time!
